I wish I had one Cause I would invite everyone over to start it off. I think it would also be a good idea to do a home wall party with a cookout. Whoever would like to do it contact me and I'll help you plan it/ I''ll buy some food and drink, if you don't like it then you're on your own.

Just wanted to get everyone's ideas on what trips they are planning on or thinking about for the next couple of months. Thought it would be a good way for anyone who wants to go to start planning. For example, I'm thinking of going to the red Sept 5-7, possible go Buidman's way for about 4-6 days some weekend in early to mid October, HP40 thanksgiving (maybe LRC or Rocktwn as well), I would like to go to Horse canyon ranch as well.

Please put up some harder stuff. I know you dont like to because it scares away new climbers if there is hard stuff up. But now the strong climbers dont come because there is no hard stuff up. As of right now 5-14-08 there is only 2 5.12's up in the gym.
For everyone that sets out there, go check out www.routesetter.com. They've got lots of great articles on setting, hold reviews, some comp coverage (mostly from the setters' perspectives, which is cool), and just tons of other stuff. The best part is that a lot of the articles are written by people who have set for big national comps and otherwise just have a ton of experience. There are some good tips and ideas that I think we could incorporate at VE.

I know there are already a few people talking about taking a trip down to Jackson one of these next couple of weekend, so we should decide on a date and do it. It would be awsome to go outside one more time before spring break.

Rumors have it that they are looking to build a new VE in the area. They are just looking for a building. They want it about the size of the check-in counters and the lower level. the area that the counters are in the Warrenville VE is the size of the bouldering they will be building. Kind of exciting but thats still not much. The rest will be TR and lead climbing. The other rumor is that they are offering $1000 as a finders fee. Im saying these are rumors because I am of course not a rep of ...
